The recipe that started it all

So, chocolate brownies, pretty standard, huh? But there was something about them, i'm not sure what, that seemed so inviting. How homely does the kitchen smell whilst cooking a batch - it's unbeatable. Even my sister, who wholly disliked all things chocolatey has been known to snaffle down a couple of these. They are no fine patisserie, there is nothing light or dainty about them, but trust me, try them and you'll be hooked. And I should confess now, I detest dark chocolate, my chocolate tastes are cheap and sickly sweet, and so for this recipe it is dairy milk that is a must - you will find no 90% artisan chocolate in my cupboard! Maybe when i'm older I will learn to like it's sophisticated taste but right now - it is the fudgy sweet allure of cheap milk chocolate that wins every time!

RECIPE
-200g milk chocolate - chooped or broken into small pieces
-225g salted butter (not margerine, butter all the way!)
-425g castor sugar
-110g plain flour
-40g cocoa powder
-5 medium eggs

1. Preheat the oven to 190 Celsius and line a 20x30cm tin with baking parchment
2. Melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan over a low heat
3. Mix in the flour and cocoa, no need to sieve them, the denser the brownie the better
4. Beat in the eggs one by one and take the mixture off the heat
5. Mix in the chocolate until it is all melted
6. Pour into the dish and bake in the oven for 30 minutes

Hello there,
Needless to say there are oodles of food blogs, far more established than this little one, I merely hope to bring a smile to your face with my lamenting on lemon creams, and similar delights. I have always adored baking, it is such a  joy (though not quite so much when it does not go to plan), though even then there is something rather wonderful about a chaotic mess of ingredients - particularly being able to taste icing sugar in the air as it escaped from the bowl! I love trying out new recipes so if any body has one, I would most happily try it and feature it in a post (though that relies on me supposing somebody may actually read this blog, a slight problem perhaps). Nevertheless, here goes nothing! Enjoy, I hope.
